A high-rise in Dhaka's Gulshan-2 area caught fire on Saturday night which took firefighters over one hour and a half to put out.
No casualty was reported in the incident.
“The fire broke out on the second floor of the 14-storey building around 9:00pm,” said Dewan Azad, duty officer at the control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Two firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 9:30pm, he said.
“The firefighters doused the blaze around 10:40pm,” the duty officer added.
The reason of the fire could not be known immediately.
