A massive fire broke out at a slum in Mohammadpur’s Bihari Potti area on Tuesday afternoon.
Shahjadi Sultana, duty officer at Fire Service Headquarters control room, confirmed the news to the media.
“The fire originated at Bihari Potti on Babar Road around 4:15pm. Ten firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire at around 5pm,” she said.
“The cause of the fire could not be known immediately,” she added.
