A six-storey building in the capital’s Baridhara area caught fire on Sunday afternoon which took six-firefighting units an hour to put out.
No casualty was reported in the incident.
The fire erupted at a showroom of Vitra Furniture housed on the building’s fourth and fifth floor, according to the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The fire service received the information about the fire at 4:24pm, it said.
Firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze at 5:38pm, it added.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
