A fire broke out at a garment factory in the Chandgaon area of Chattogram on Tuesday.
Bahar Uddin, senior station officer of Kalurghat Fire Station, said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at the garment factory of KDS group around 5:45pm and spread soon.
On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after one hour of frantic effort.
The extent of the losses caused by the fire could not be ascertained yet.
