A fire broke out at the 10th floor Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall of Dhaka University at around 9:00pm on Tuesday.
On information, units of fire service rushed to the spot and managed to control the fire, said Dewan Azad Hossen, duty officer of fire service control room.
No one was injured in the incident, said Lina Taposhi Khan, the hall’s house tutor.
The fire may have had originated from a short circuit in a locked room, she added.
