A fire that broke out at a tyre warehouse in the Dewanhat area of Chattogram city Saturday afternoon, has been brought under control.
The fire started around 12:45pm and twelve firefighting units rushed to the spot to douse the blaze, said Md Abdul Hamid Miah, deputy assistant director of Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Firefighters tamed the blaze after one and a half hours of efforts, he added.
No casualties have been reported in the incident.
Meanwhile, the train services resumed as it was halted due to the fire, said Chattogram Railway Station Master Zafar Alam.
