A fire broke out at a slum in Bhashantek area of Dhaka on Thursday evening.
Md Babul, control room operator at Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, said the fire originated at Dhamalkot slum around 6:40pm and spread rapidly.
On information, 10 firefighting units rushed there and doused the blaze around 8:20 pm.
The cause of the fire and extent of damage is yet to be ascertained, he added.
