The fire that broke out in an oil-laden vessel in the Buriganga River near Fatullah Bazar in Narayanganj district on Wednesday, has been brought under control, said the Fire Service.
Earlier, the fire broke out around 1:32pm and engulfed the vessel, said deputy assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defense (media cell) Shahjahan Shikder.
On a tip off, eight firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 3pm.
