Fire gutted valuables of a cotton factory at Basantapur in Panchdona upazila of Narsingdi district early on Thursday.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit at the factory around 4am and soon engulfed it.
On information, two firefighting units from Narsingdi rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze at 5:12am.
The owner claimed that the estimated loss caused by the fire could be Tk 3 lakh.
