A fire broke out at a garment factory in Bhogra Vasan road area of Gazipur city early Monday.
Abdul Hamid Mia, Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service, said the blaze started around 6:00am in the dyeing and knitting section of Alema Textile Limited.
On information, four firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze in a couple of hours.
Machineries and other valuables inside the one-storey building were gutted in the fire before the fire was brought under control, officials said.
However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, he added.
