A shop of chemical substances caught fire in Old Dhaka on Monday morning.
The fire broke out around 9:20am at the shop located at Armanitola under Bangshal police station, confirmed Khaled Bin Rashed, duty officer at the control room of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Three firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 9:50am, he added.
The cause of fire could not be known immediately.
