A fire gutted valuables in a plastic factory on Takiya road of Feni district town on Tuesday.
The fire broke out at 12 pm in the warehouse of the factory which spread soon to adjacent areas.
Four units of Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to spot and doused the flame after two hours of frantic efforts.
No casualty was reported , said Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defence Purna Chandra Mutsundi.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he said.
The fire damaged valuables worth around Tk 45 lakh, claimed owner of the plastic factory Firoz Bhuiyan.
