A fire which broke out at a hotel in the city's Karwan Bazar on Saturday morning has been doused, said Fire Service authorities.
Lima Khanom, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Control Room, said the fire broke out at the generator room of Hotel La Vinchi around 10:17 am.
On information, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze shortly.
However, what caused the fire could not be ascertained yet.

Deputy-assistant director of Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters media cell Shahjahan Sikder said the fire broke out at the bank located on the 1st floor of a four-story building around 10:40 am and engulfed it.
On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the flame while two more are on the way to join them.
