With the efforts of the infertility experts of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), a test-tube baby was born for the first time in Bangladesh under government management at the DMCH recently.
A team of experts, led by gynaecologist Prof Fatema, made it possible, DMCH Director Brig Gen Md Nazmul Haque said on Thursday.
The hospital authorities congratulated the test-tube baby's parents and everyone involved in this challenging endeavour.
He also said the details will be formally informed later.
