Former law secy Abu Saleh dies of Covid-19

Former Law Division Secretary Abu Saleh Sk Md Zahirul Haque died of coronavirus at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital here last night.

He was 61.

Abu Saleh Sk Md Zahirul Haque, popularly known as Dulal among his friends and family, was admitted to the BSMMU Hospital with Covid symptoms on July 27 and breathed his last there at 11.20pm on August 5.

He left behind his wife, two daughters, and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Abu Saleh Sheikh Mohammad (ASSM) Zahirul Haque Dulal. In a message of condolence, the premier prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq also expressed profound shock at the death of the former secretary. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

“Dulal was very dedicated and sincere to his work. He was a brave and devoted soldier of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The law ministry was able to go through a very tough time successfully in the past due to his bravery and efficiency,” the law minister said in a message of condolence.
