Police have arrested AHM Fuad, expelled Jubo League leader and the assistant personal secretary of former local government minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, in a money laundering case.
Fuad was arrested from Dhaka Tuesday night, confirmed Md Alimuzzaman, Police Super of Faridpur.
Fuad is accused in at least eight cases, including one filed over laundering Tk 2,000 crore, Alimuzzaman said.
In another case, Fuad is accused of vandalising the house of Awami League Faridpur unit's President Subal Chandra Saha.
Fuad was removed from the post of convener of Faridpur district unit Awami League after being accused in the money laundering case.
