JKG Healthcare Chairman Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury has applied to the High Court to stay the proceedings of the case filed at Tejgaon police station on charges of fraud and forgery.
Besides, Sabrina has appealed against the dismissal order seeking relevant documents of the case in the Judicial Court.
Sabrina's lawyer advocate Saifuzzaman Tuhin confirmed the matter to The Business Post on Thursday (September 3).
Dr Sabrina is currently in jail in a case filed over issuing fake Covid-19 certificates.
A Dhaka court framed charges against eight people including Sabrina in the case on August 20.
On August 5, Md Liakot Ali, an inspector of Detective Branch (DB) and also the investigation officer (IO) of the case, submitted the charge-sheet before the court.
According to the charge sheet, JKG Healthcare provided 27,000 coronavirus reports without following proper test procedures while most of them were found fake.
