A massive fire that broke out on Monday morning at a three-storey steel fabricated building of Fresh company in Narayanganj’s Sonargaon area has been brought under control.
The blaze started around 7:40am and was brought under control around 11:20am, Fire Service and Civil Defence Director General Brig Gen Md Main Uddin said during a press briefing on Monday.
"As many as nine tenders have been pressed into service to bring the fire under control," he said. “Fortunately, no casualties were reported.”
However, fire service members have rescued one person with minor injuries.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
