The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Friday night held a fugitive who was sentenced to death by a Pabna court in 2021.
The arrested was Mizanur Rahman alias Mizan, 45, who hailed from Bahadurpur village in Sadar upazila.
RAB-12 Company Commander of Squadron Leader Towhidul Mobin said acting on a tip off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid at Mizan's house and nabbed him.
Mizan was sentenced to death by a Pabna court for murdering a youth named Hira, 21, in Pabna town in 2008, the RAB official said, adding, "Mizan was handed over to Sadar police today [Saturday]."
