Gallery Kaya turns 16 with virtual anniversary exhibition

The '16th Anniversary Exhibition' of Gallery Kaya began virtually on Saturday (July 25), with an aim to showcase artworks of 42 modern and contemporary artists from Bangladesh and India.

Over a 4-week period, the virtual exhibition - an increasingly popular concept with the pandemic in the background will showcase a special selection of 103 works done in acrylic, oil, watercolour, ink, charcoal, ceramic, bronze, pastel, pencil and mixed media on paper and canvas till August 22.

The special anniversary exhibition features enthralling artworks from noted artists including the late Kalidas Karmakar, Kanak Chanpa Chakma, Murtaja Baseer, Rafiqun Nabi, Samarjit Roy Chowdhury, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Shishir Bhattacharjee, Bishwajit Goswami and more.

“We are thrilled to host this special virtual exhibition with all these eminent artists and their majestic artworks, marking our 16th anniversary,” Rajen Gain, Coordinator of Gallery Kaya told UNB.
