The High Court today ordered Md Ali Hossen, owner of a building, to surrender before the lower court in connection with a case filed over killing a thirteen-year-old girl after a wall of a one-storey building collapsed in Ashulia on January 12.
The HC bench of Justice Md Habibul Gani and Justice Md Riaz Uddin Khan passed the order on Wednesday.
Earlier, Ali Hossen filed an anticipatory bail before the HC and the HC bench ordered him to surrender before the lower court within February 14 this year.
Advocate Motahar Hossain Saju was present before the court in favour of the accused.
Earlier on January 12, 2021, Happy Akter Mina, a fifth-grader, was killed and three other people, including the victim's mother, were injured after a wall of a one-storey building collapsed on them in Ashulia.
Later, the victim's father filed a case with Ashulia Police Station against the building owner.
