Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader has dismissed the rumours of Rowshan Ershad’s death and said the party chief patron’s condition remains unchanged.
Quader, also the deputy opposition leader, issued a statement confirming the matter on Friday.
An air ambulance carrying Rowshan Ershad reached Thailand at 9:00pm, where she will be receiving treatment at Bamrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, the statement said.
Meanwhile, rumours of the death of critically ill Rowshan Ershad surfaced on social media following her departure to Thailand.
Rowshan Ershad, also the opposition leader, was flown to Bangkok for better treatment on Friday afternoon.
She will receive treatment at the Bamrungrad Hospital in Bangkok.
Earlier on August 16, Rowshan Ershad was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit of Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
On August 14, she was admitted to CMH with breathing complications. However, she tested negative for Covid-19.
