The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Wednesday granted five-day police remand to interrogate former minister Golam Dastagir Gazi in Parvez murder case lodged with Fatullah Thana.
Gazi, who was arrested from his Shantinagar residence by DB police on August 24 last, was shown arrested in Parvez murder case, reports BSS.
Earlier, he was “shown arrested” in three other murder cases, one with Rupganj Thana and two others with Araihajar thana.
Inspector of Narayanganj Chief Judicial Magistrate Court said police produced Gazi before the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Haider Ali with a prayer for 10-day remand in connection with Parvez murder case.
The court, after hearing the statement of the prosecution, granted a five-day police remand.
Md Sohrab Hossain, father of Parvez Hossain, 23, filed the case with Fatullah Model Thana on August 22 last, accusing 178 people.
Other accused of the case are- ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and former MP Shamim Osman.
Parvez Hossain was shot dead by police at Bhuigar area under Fatullah Thana during the anti-discrimination movement on July 19.
Roman, a Class-10 student, was shot dead by police on July 19 last during the anti-discrimination student movement in front Chonpara slum of Narayanganj town.
