Gold prices drop further by Tk1749 per bhori

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) decided to cut the gold prices by Tk 1749 per bhori on Saturday as the price of bullion gold in the local market decreased.

The new prices of good quality (22-carat) gold have been fixed at Tk 98,210 per bhori, which was Tk 99,960 per bhori earlier. The revised prices will be effective from Sunday, read a press release issued by BAJUS.

Earlier on September 26, the prices of gold were reduced also.

Vice Chairman of BAJUS’s Pricing and Price Monitoring Standing Committee Enamul Haque Liton said, “The prices of bullion gold have decreased in the local market. So, we have decided to cut the prices of gold again.”

As per the new prices, the price of gold per 21 carat is Tk 93,779 which was Tk 95,411 till Saturday. Besides, the new price of 18-carat gold is Tk 80,365 per bhori, which was Tk 81, 764, and the price of traditional gold is Tk 66,951 per bhori, which was Tk 68,117.
