The government has revoked the freedom fighter certificates of 52 people including Risaldar Moslehuddin Khan, one of the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
A gazette notification was issued regarding this on January 5 upon recommendations of the 70th meeting of Jatiya Muktijoddha Council (Jamuka).
Moslehuddin Khan is a suspended Army official whose gazette number was 643. His freedom fighter title and the certificate—both have been cancelled.
Jamuka Director General Md Jahurul Islam Rohel confirmed the information to The Business Post.
