Health and Family Welfare Minister Professor Samanta Lal Sen on Saturday laid emphasis on improving healthcare services for common people.
“My aim is to improve healthcare services for reducing sufferings of common people,” he told journalists after a view-exchange meeting with vice chancellor of Chattogram Medical University and principals of different medical colleges in Chattogram on Saturday, an official release said.
In reply to a question of a journalist, the health minister said 30-bed ICU was inaugurated on Saturday at Chattogram Medical College, meaning the total number of ICU beds is 50 now at the hospital, reports BSS.
“We are working to remove shortage of ICU and I hope the ICU shortage will be removed in future,” he added.
