The government on Monday instructed the people to wear double mask if needed, said a handout issued by the Press Information Department.
The handout said that it was noticed many people were not following the government instruction of wearing a mask.
It warned of stern action against the flouter.
A study conducted by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has found that double masking, with cloth and surgical masks, can prevent leakage of air and fit the contours of the face better.
