In line with Saudi issued regulations, the ministry of religious affairs has released a list of conditions for performing Umrah.
The ministry issued a press release in this regard on Wednesday.
Umrah performers must be vaccinated with two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, and the vaccines must be Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson, the press release said.
Additionally, only those aged 18 years or above will be allowed to perform Umrah, it said.
Besides, Umrah performers can only travel to Saudi Arabia through an agency recognized by the country's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
The list of approved Umrah agencies has been published on the Hajj website of the ministry (www.hajj.gov.bd).
Earlier, Saudi Arabia had closed Umrah due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Recently, it reopened Umrah with some restrictions.
