The government has set office hours for the month of Ramadan from 9am to 3:30pm, with a 15-minute break for Zuhr prayer. This decision came at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office in Dhaka on Monday.

The cabinet approved the new office hours for government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous organisations, Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain said at a briefing at the Secretariat after the weekly cabinet meeting.
