State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru on Thursday said the incumbent government is implementing various pragmatic programmes for spreading the light of quality education across the country.
"The present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is implementing many time-befitting programmes to reach the light of quality education in every corner and ensure congenial academic atmosphere in the country's all the educational institutions", he said.
Khasru said these while inaugurating the two-day long 40th founding anniversary of Netrakona Model Shishu School in college road area.
Chaired by the convenor of the festival celebration committee Abdul Wahed, the inaugural function was addressed, among others, by Member of Parliament Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali, Deputy Commissioner Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Superintendent of Police Akber Ali Munshi, Netrakona Parishad Chairman Prasanta Kumer Roy, Netrakona Municipality Mayor Nazrul Islam Khan and the district Awami League President Motiur Rahman Khan.
Principal of the school Mazharul Islam conducted the inaugural function which was followed by a colorful musical soiree based on popular songs.
