Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has said that the government would soon enact an act in the parliament to regulate the child day care centres in the country.
The finance minister made the proposal while placing the proposed budget for FY22 in the parliament on Thursday.
The minister said, “The Child Day Care Centre Act 2021 has been drafted and awaits enactment in the parliament.”
“We are promoting establishment of daycare centres for children. We are also expanding child development centres for extremely poor and marginalized children,” he said.
“These projects would facilitate employment for destitute and helpless women in the southern districts of the country,” he added.
