Bangladesh government has been trying to rein in the rising prices of commodities in the local market although in the international market prices of essential items are continuously rising, said Local Government Rural Development and Co-operatives (LGRD) Minister Tajul Islam.

As our government took special initiative to increase the internal resources and also put emphasis on producing local food items in a large quantity, Bangladesh have been able to tackle the situation, “ Tajul added.

After the seminar, he visited various stalls set up by the students around the country from 35 universities.

BUP Vice Chancellor Major General Mahbub Ul Alam, NDC was present as special guest in the seminar while the main article was presented by the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration SM Yobaidul Karim.
