The government has urged the people not to be misguided by the misleading information centering the toll fixation for using the Padma Bridge, saying that it did not finalize
the toll rate for the bridge yet.
“The toll rate for the Padma Multipurpose Bridge is yet to be finalized,” the Bridges Division said in a statement today.
The Bridges Division recently noticed the propaganda roaming on different social media centering the toll rate for the Padma Multipurpose Bridge, the statement said, adding, “The matter of fixing
the toll rate is a propaganda and rumor”.
Noting that a committee has been formed to fix the toll rate for the bridge, it said that steps will be taken on fixing the toll as per the recommendations of the committee.
After finalizing the toll rate for the Padma Bridge, it will be publicized for the people, the statement added.
