The Gulshan Joggers Society has distributed winter clothes to the underprivileged community so that they can better cope with the winter chill. The society distributed the aid on Monday morning at the Joggers’ premises in the capital.
Chief Advisor to the society, and Unique Group and Post Media Ltd Managing Director valiant Freedom Fighter Mohd Noor Ali attended the humanitarian programme as the chief guest.
Vice President and the convener of the Gulshan Joggers Society Abul Bashar Sikder delivered a welcome speech at the event, while Vice President of the society Mojibur Rahman Mridha delivered the greetings speech.
The society general secretary Khorshed Alam Khosru also delivered a speech, and GPH and Crown Cement Group Chairman Mohammed Jahangir Alam, who is president of the society, delivered the presiding speech at the programme.
Speakers say the Gulshan Joggers Society is always coming forward to provide humanitarian services. Under such an initiative, winter clothing items are being distributed among the underprivileged community.
On January 20 this year, Gulshan Joggers Society distributed blankets to 1,000 marginalised residents of Lalmonirhat. Such activities will be continued in the future, they had said.
