Ruling Awami League lawmaker for Dhaka-7 Haji Mohammad Selim has been admitted to a hospital in the capital onTuesday after being diagnosed with Covid-19.
He was admitted to Labaid Hospital around 3pm Tuesday, confirmed Mohiuddin Mahmud, personal secretary to Selim.
He tested positive for the coronavirus twice so far, said Mohiuddin.
However, his physical condition is stable, added the PS.
The High Court on March 9 upheld a 10-year jail sentence awarded to Haji Selim MP in a corruption case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in 2007.
