Police recovered the hanging body of a teenage girl from Raghabpur area of Moglabzar in Sylhet on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Shabana Begum ,13, daughter of Sayed Ali of Raghabpur of Moglabazar.
Shabana's mother sent her to bring drinking water from a nearby house on Tuesday evening but she didn't return home.
On Wednesday morning, family members found Shabana's body hanging from a tree with a scarf around her neck and they informed police.
Moglabazar police station officer-in-charge Shamsuddoha said there were no marks of injuries on the body.
Shabana might have committed suicide, added the OC.
The body was sent to the morgue of Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy.
