Foreign Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud on Wednesday greeted the countrymen marking Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the greatest religious festivals of the Muslims.
He also wished for the country's continuous peace progress and the welfare of the Muslim Ummah.
Greeting the countrymen, he said the dishonest traders could not increase the prices of commodities during the holy month of Ramada and Eid for various steps of the government. The Eid journey is also very smooth this year, he added.
Hasan was exchanging views with reporters at YNT Centre in the city’s Dewanji Pukur Par.
About charging extra fair from bus passengers, he said some dishonest drivers and helpers are demanding extra charges. The government is looking into the matter and taking necessary measures, he added.
