The High Court (HC) has ordered concerned authorities to make a report informing the court whether there is a central monitoring system for Incentive Care Units (ICU) in the country or not.
The court also ordered the authorities to prepare a report on the number of ICUs and ICU beds available for treating Covid-19 patients in the country.
The bench of justice M Enayetur Rahim passed the order following a virtual hearing on Monday (June 8).
Supreme Court (SC) lawyer Yadia Zaman was present at the court as the petitioner while Additional Attorney General Murad Reza was in favour of the state.
The HC ordered the reports to be produced to it by Tuesday (June 9).
