The High Court has directed the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission chairman to remove the indecent audios and videos of State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Md Murad Hassan from social media within a day.

The bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order on Tuesday.

The court also asked to inform the steps being taken to remove these audios and videos by Wednesday.

The state minister has come under fire after his indecent phone conversations went viral on social media. Following this, Barrister Sumon went to the court to remove the audios and videos of this state minister.

"The indecent audios and videos of the state minister must be removed from the social media immediately. If not removed, children will be affected after hearing such abusive and obscene language," Barrister Sumon told the court.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed the state minister to resign from the Cabinet, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader told the media on Monday night.
Md Murad Hassan had been asked to resign by Tuesday, Quader added.
