The High Court has directed all private clinics, hospitals, clinical laboratories and diagnostic centres to submit their latest price lists for health check-ups by September 9.
Justice JBM Hasan and Justice Md Khairul Alam's bench passed the order on Tuesday (September 1).
Supreme Court lawyer Dr Bashir Ahmed was present in favour of the writ petition before the court.
On July 24, 2018, the High Court directed private clinics, hospitals, clinical laboratories and diagnostic centres to put on display their charges and fees fixed for medical tests at public places.
The High Court bench came up with the rule after hearing a writ petition filed by human rights lawyers and Securing Environment Society of Bangladesh seeking the court’s order so that private healthcare institutions can run with transparency.
