In one hour of relentless rain, light to moderate and torrential, on Saturday morning flooded many streets in Dhaka causing traffic congestion.
Less than a week ago Dhaka saw another 85mm rainfall causing water clogging in several places.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the city received 29mm of rainfall on Saturday morning till 9:00am.
Some areas of the city and busy streets were seen submerged with stagnant water.
Office-goers and other regular commuters suffered reaching their destinations due to waterlogged roads and long traffic forced many to wade through flooded streets.
Met office forecast on Saturday said light to moderate rain, thundershowers accompanied by gusty wind is likely to occur over few places of Chattogram, Barishal, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and one or two places over Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions.
Earlier on June 1, heavy rain caused waterlogging in Dhaka which caused sufferings to the city dwellers.
