Hemayet Uddin’s 'Diplomacy in Obscurity: A Memoir' unveiled

A new book on diplomacy named “Diplomacy in Obscurity: A Memoir,” authored by the former foreign secretary and ambassador Hemayet Uddin, has been formally launched on Christmas Day at the Gregorian Alumni Club on Wednesday. 

The book, published by University Press Limited, is the second book authored by Hemayet Uddin, said a press release.

His memoir is a recollection of some of his experiences during his long career in the diplomatic service of Bangladesh.  

At the book launching ceremony, Minister for Planning MA Mannan, Minister for Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed, Prime Minister’s Adviser on International Relations Dr Gowher Rizvi, the Communist Party Chairman of Bangladesh Mujahidul Islam Selim, former State Minister for Foreign Affairs Abul Hossain Chowdhury and former Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Salehuddin Ahmed were present at the ceremony.
