A week-long “Hilly Fruits Fair-2024” will begin Saturday at the Sheikh Hasina Chittagong Hill Tracts Historic Protection and Research Centre in the capital's Baily Road area.
The Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs is organising the fair that will end on July 12.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will inaugurate the fair as chief guest at 11am on Saturday, read a press release.
State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Kujendra Lal Tripura will preside over the inaugural function while State Minister of Cultural Affairs Naheed Ezaher Khan, Chairman of Chittagong Hill Tracts Regional Council Jyotirindra Bodhi Priya Karma, President of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Environment, Forest Climate and Change Dipankar Talukder, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts will be present, among others, as special guests on the occasion.
The fair will be open to all from 10.30am to 8pm daily.
