Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan has been found negative for coronavirus in a fresh test at Central Police Hospital at Rajarbagh in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier today, news broke that he was diagnosed with Covid-19.
Sharif Mahmud, senior public relations officer of the h ministry, confirmed the information to The Business Standard on Sunday evening.
Besides, Senior Secretary for Public Security Mustafa Kamal Uddin, who tested positive earlier, also turned out to be negative in the fresh test at the same hospital.
Both of them were tested positive earlier at tests conducted at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b).
However, both of them were asymptomatic from the beginning.
