The ICT division of the Bangladesh government has published a warning notice that some people are trying to get teachers' personal information by calling the teachers.

On successful completion of the ‘ICT in Education Literacy, Troubleshooting and Maintenance’ batch in October, a total of 36,020 teachers 4 each from different institutions are being paid the prescribed rate of honorarium from authority, read a press release on Thursday.

Recently, it has been reported from various sources that some people are trying to get bank/mobile banking/debit card/credit card information by calling the teachers from different mobile numbers by pretending to be officials of the project department, ICT directorate or ICT department.

ICT division published a notice that it has no affiliation with the Project Office or Directorate or ICT Department.

All the concerned including the respected teachers who have labs established under the Sheikh Russel Digital Lab Establishment Project (2nd Phase) are requested to be careful and not to engage in such transactions.

A total of 9,001 labs including 4,001 in the 1st stage and 5,000 in the 2nd stage have been set up in various educational institutions across the country under the "Sheikh Russell Digital Lab Establishment Project (2nd Phase)" under the Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Subsequently, 300 "Sheikh Russell Schools of Future" have been set up in 300 parliamentary constituencies.
