Wood traders in Bandarban buy entire teak plantations in hills through estimations and workers then transport the logs to sawmills in the town.
The logs then sawed in sawmills as per requirements to make furniture. Wood prices range between Tk 3,000 and 8,000 per cft depending on quality.
Sawmill workers earn Tk 500-1000 per day. The pictures were taken from the bank of the Sangu River in Bandarban.
