The fire that broke out in Dhaka’s Bangabazar Market early Tuesday has been brought under control after over six hours of frantic efforts by forty-eight firefighting units.
Traders had their eyes on the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr to gain more profit this year, but the massive fire has turned their dreams into ashes.
The fire broke out at the market around 6:10am and spread soon.
Teams of Army personnel, Bangladesh Navy, Border Guard Bangladesh, Rapid Action Battalion, and Ansar joined in to bring the fire under control.
Besides, a helicopter of the Bangladesh Air Force was used to battle the fire.
