The Dhaka Elevated Expressway is a vital infrastructure project in Dhaka.
Stretching approximately 20 kilometres, this elevated highway aims to alleviate traffic congestion and improve transportation efficiency.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday opened its Kawla-Farmgate section to traffic.
It is expected to ease travel times, reduce pollution, and enhance overall urban mobility as it will take 12 minutes to reach Farmgate from Kawla.
The entire expressway will stretch from Kawla near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport through Tejgaon, Moghbazar, Kamalapur to Kutubkhali on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway near Jatrabari featuring 31 ramps and 11 toll plazas.
