A farmer collects water lily stumps from Arial Beel in Munshiganj where arable lands get submerged under water for four to five months a year. During this time, hundreds of farmers from Sirajdikhan, Lauhajong and Srinagar upazilas of the district make a living by collecting and selling water lily stumps, earning Tk 600-Tk 700 daily.
