An Indian national has been arrested while trying to enter a protected area of the under-construction Padma Bridge area at Lohajang in Munshiganj.
The arrestee has been identified as Upendra Bihari, 45.
Munshiganj Additional Police Superintendent (admin and crime) Suman Dev confirmed the matter.
On Tuesday, members of 99 Composite Brigade in charge of security at Padma Bridge area detained the man.
Later on the day, Upendra was handed over to Lohajang police station.
A case has been filed against the man under the trespass act.
Lohajang police on Wednesday produced Upendra before the court seeking a 10-day remand.
The hearing on the bail plead will be on Thursday.
